Restaurants are required by law to collect sales tax and remit it to the State.
Okay. What’s the problem?
Restaurants collect sales tax daily but pay it to the State monthly or quarterly. This sales tax money goes into the restaurant’s bank account along with their sales revenue and it’s a huge headache to separate the two.
When it comes time to pay the State, restaurant owners often don’t have enough money set aside. Missing a sales tax payment means huge fines and penalties (typically 20-30% of what’s owed), a big waste of time and hard-earned dollars.
DAVO Sales Tax is a top selling paid third party integration on cloud-based POS systems like Toast. Why?
DAVO solves the problems restaurants face with sales tax by making sales tax management disappear. The DAVO Sales Tax integration uses sales data from Toast to automatically sets sales tax aside daily (yes – daily). Then when sales tax is due, DAVO pays it to the State, on time and in full. Guaranteed.
DAVO saves restaurants money and time because it costs less than a bookkeeper or accountant and restaurant owners and managers won’t spend another minute managing or worrying about sales tax. Set it and forget it, DAVO puts sales tax on autopilot. The first monthly filing is free and restaurants can cancel anytime.
At only $54.99 per month per location, DAVO is less expensive than an accountant and less time consuming than trying to navigate tax compliance yourself. Plus, it has tons of user-friendly features to help keep your finances in order and the first monthly filing is free.
